logd
Collects the system's unified log.
What it is
logd receives log messages from macOS and apps and stores them so they can be read in the Console app.
An app that writes huge amounts of log messages can make logd use noticeable CPU.
Should you worry?
Only if it stays high, which points to a noisy app.
What you can do
- Open Console and look for the app producing the most messages, then update or quit it.
